Way over-rated...
I bought this espresso maker because it was highly rated and recommended, but the actual product is over-priced and way over-rated. I bought it to use on my gas stove top but the entire unit gets extremely and dangerously hot after just a minute... I wouldn't recommend this a gas stove top... maybe better on electric but probably very slow to heat... The actual espresso quality is average at best - not what I expected for a $200 machine. It looks ok, but just ok (the locking handle is stainless steel and doesn't really match the rest of the chrome finish) and it uses a rubber gasket which is sure to wear out.
When I tried to return it (after using it just a few times), I was told by seller Speranza Design Gallery that "the unit can not be returned once it is used." Maybe I'll re-gift it...
