Sharpens well but it doesn't sharpen all the way to the hilt on pocket knives
The sharpener arrived four days early so I commend Amazon on their speed of shipping. After opening the box it came in, I read the manual from front to back just to make sure I understood everything about this sharpener. I was still fairly unfamiliar how to hold the knife in the sharpener. So I started out with a large but cheap kitchen knife that was not serrated and I put it in the 15 degree slot. I thought 15 degrees should make this knife good and sharp, so away I went. On the first pass the knife didn't easily slide into either the left or the right slot. Ends up the alignment slots are a bit tricky to insert thick-bladed knives into and I noticed there are plastic tabs that are supposed to help hold the knife in place to keep the proper angle. So I removed a star from my review. I just couldn't figure out what was happening so I went online to youtube. There is a video that teaches how to sharpen knives with this model sharpener.
