I've waited a few days before writing this review so as to gain some perspective after assembly, and to get some actual use. I looked at a lot of sets before buying this one. It's difficult to find quality furniture on-line from a reliable vendor. Also, this was a lot of money so I was hesitant to pull the trigger on the purchase. Since we're in a new house, I've had experience with 'some assembly required' and with stuff that looks good in a picture but is actually press-board junkola when you get it. I didn't want a repeat of that problem. I hope this review helps someone who is thinking of making this purchase.
Overall, this is a good set with one (perhaps minor) exception regarding assembly.
