Does OK but not the leap from the one I made with my gardenway kit.
I made a garden way cider press a few years ago. It came with a cylinder and metal teeth to make a grinder and press. It worked nicely for 4 years then the plug started splitting and the grinder handle needed to be repaired. So hey Jaffrey Grinder will fit and has a bigger handle. Says it gets more juice too. So I got it put it on and was not as impressed as I had hoped. The bigger wheel for grinding is better. But this one I had to cut the apples for them to fit the grinder, my home made one I put whole apples. This you need to get the add on bin because you have to have someone feed apple in constantly. The last thing is it is harder to clean than the homemade one. I never did get all the apple cleaned out. I think it didn't clog up as much, but also adds weight to the press. I may have to add wheels due to hard and heavy to carry now. It is solid construction. Just got same amount of juice as my old one, heavier, harder to clean, have to cut the apples, and constantly...
