Beautiful and sturdy
We bought this for our kitchen in an older home for additional workspace and storage, and assembled it today. The quality and craftsmanship is very high, making the piece well worth the money. The piece is nice and heavy, and was perfectly stable as I cut up a squash for dinner tonight. The hardwood is very attractive and the natural look of the unstained, oiled finish looks good in the room. I should note that the unit's instructions suggest oiling the top surface monthly and the rest of the unit twice a year. We keep mineral oil on hand for cutting boards, so this shouldn't be a big deal for us. Some people may want to stain the piece to reduce this upkeep, and the instructions have information about doing so.

Assembly was straightforward for the most part, although we did have to backtrack once to remove both shelves after we realized we had attached the "top back brace" piece upside down, preventing us from attaching the table top because the metal drop leaf supports...
