Excellent - But Clean it Regularly and Add Minerals to Water
This unit is fantastic! We have now made "making water" a regular daily task in our family. The result? Pure clean water that tastes great and is healthy. No more replacing filters with Brita, and the water made by the Waterwise 9000 tastes much more pure. But there are a couple of things you need to know going in.
The unit makes generates lots of heat out of the top opening, blown out by the fan. It is wonderful in the wintertime, but painful in the summertime. Make sure there is plenty of ventilation where you place it.
The boiler water container accumulates buildup quickly. This is expected because this is the leftover residue from the distillation. Rinsing alone won't clean it. You need to have a mildly abrasive sponge to give it a quick scrub (boiler plate and the walls) after each use, and then rinse.
