Small, Limited maximum capacity
I use this for weighing things I ship out in boxes and it has worked well for over 1 year but it has limitations (see below). If you have weighed boxes in the past with a traditional scale you would know that you either 1) have to put the box on part of the scale so you can read the output; or 2) weigh yourself and then weigh yourself holding the box and then figure out the difference. Either way, it could end up being an inaccurate measurement if you don't do it right.

With a bench scale you can center the box on the scale and get a quick, accurate reading.

Limitations:
35 KG (or 77 lb) capacity: good for most things like suitcases and boxes, but it still limits you on what you can weigh.

1 ft x 1 ft surface space: sure you can weigh animals on it but it would have to be a small dog. Dogs weighing 30-50 lbs is within the scale's capacity but they are too big for the scale.
