Good popcorn, easy to clean.
I looked at a number of poppers before I chose a different one. However, Amazon wasn't able to get that one shipped, so working with their customer service, I settled on this one. My 8 & 10 year old children helped me put it together. The instructions were disappointing, and not all the pieces lined up properly, but the finished product was secure and looked good.
We started with the Great Northern popcorn packs, and it make "good" popcorn. We experimented with some of our own blends of oil and seasonings, and we made "great" popcorn. The kettle gets messy and requires cleaning every couple of batches. The kettle lid seems to be an older design, where the lid is not attached to the kettle and slides up to the top where a magnet holds it in place. I would have preferred the lids that are attached to the kettle with a hinge. I have had to use some "kettle cleaner" for burned spots, but it does the job quickly.
